Anloga District Assembly Holds General Assembly Meeting on Leadership and Effective Governance

The Anloga District Assembly has held its General Assembly meeting, bringing together members to deliberate on issues aimed at strengthening leadership, governance and effective administration within the district.
One of the major topics discussed was “Executive Mandates of MMDAs and the Exercise of Discretionary Powers.” The discussion focused on the responsibilities of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), as well as the importance of exercising discretionary powers responsibly and in accordance with the law.
Members were also taken through a session on leadership and effective leadership practices. The session highlighted the qualities of a good leader and encouraged members to lead with integrity, accountability, commitment and a willingness to listen to others.
Participants were reminded that effective leadership goes beyond holding a position of authority. It involves making sound decisions, communicating effectively, working with others and putting the interests of the people first.
The meeting provided an opportunity for members of the Assembly to share ideas, deepen their understanding of their roles and reflect on ways to improve the delivery of services to residents of the Anloga District.
The discussions underscored the need for strong and responsible leadership in promoting development and ensuring that the Assembly effectively serves the people of the district.
