Bleamezado CHPS Facility Commissioned and Handed over to the Community

The Bleamezado Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) facility has officially been commissioned and handed over to the community for use, marking a significant milestone in efforts to improve access to quality healthcare for residents.

The commissioning ceremony was held on Friday, 4th September 2026, and brought together community members, traditional leaders, health officials and other stakeholders who gathered to celebrate the completion of the facility.

The new CHPS facility was made possible through the generous contribution of Mama Ablavi Sotorli Dogbatse Kudolo, a benevolent resident of the community. Her commitment and generosity towards the development of the facility were highly commended by stakeholders as an example of community-minded leadership and support for local development.

In addition to the construction of the facility, Togbi Xornametor I, Mr. Vincent Kwamitse Kaledzi, supported the project by providing essential medical equipment to help make the facility functional and better equipped to serve the healthcare needs of residents.

The two major contributions were widely praised during the ceremony as a demonstration of a strong commitment to improving healthcare delivery and promoting the wellbeing of the people of Bleamezado and surrounding communities.

The facility is expected to bring healthcare services closer to residents and reduce the challenges associated with travelling long distances to access basic healthcare. It will also contribute to improved maternal and child healthcare, disease prevention, health education and other essential primary healthcare services.

Speakers at the ceremony expressed appreciation to the donors for their remarkable contributions and called on the community to take ownership of the facility and ensure its proper maintenance.

The commissioning of the Bleamezado CHPS facility demonstrates the positive impact that community participation, philanthropy and collaboration with stakeholders can have on local development.
