Anloga District Assembly staff undergo GHANEPS training workshoptaff

Staff of the Anloga District Assembly have participated in a GHANEPS (Ghana Electronic Procurement System) Training Workshop organized by the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) to enhance their knowledge and skills in electronic public procurement.

The workshop formed part of the PPA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability and efficiency in public procurement through the effective use of the Ghana Electronic Procurement System. It brought together staff from various departments of the Assembly, particularly officers involved in procurement, finance, administration and planning.

Facilitators from the Public Procurement Authority took participants through the key features of the GHANEPS platform, including supplier registration, procurement planning, tender publication, bid evaluation, contract award processes and contract management. Participants also received practical demonstrations on how to navigate the system and comply with the Public Procurement Act and its accompanying regulations.

Speaking during the workshop, facilitators underscored the importance of embracing digital procurement systems to improve value for money, reduce procurement delays and promote fairness and transparency in the management of public resources. They encouraged participants to apply the knowledge acquired to ensure full compliance with national procurement standards.

Participants described the training as insightful and beneficial, noting that it had deepened their understanding of electronic procurement processes and equipped them with the practical skills needed to carry out their responsibilities more effectively.

The Anloga District Assembly expressed its appreciation to the Public Procurement Authority and facilitator assigned for organizing the workshop and reaffirmed its commitment to adopting best procurement practices that promote accountability, efficiency and quality service delivery. The Assembly believes continuous capacity-building for staff remains essential to strengthening institutional performance and supporting effective local governance.
