Anloga District Assembly trains data collectors on business data collection

The Anloga District Assembly on Thursday, September 4, 2025, organized a training workshop for selected data collectors on businesses as part of efforts to improve data gathering, revenue mobilization and planning within the district.

The training was aimed at equipping the data collectors with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively collect accurate and reliable information on businesses operating within the district. Participants were taken through proper data collection methods, identification of businesses, documentation procedures and the importance of accurate data in supporting decision-making.

Facilitators emphasized the need for professionalism, confidentiality and accuracy during the exercise, noting that reliable business data would enable the Assembly to improve its revenue planning, expand its database and design appropriate development interventions.

The training also highlighted the role of data in strengthening local governance, particularly in areas such as revenue generation, business support services and the effective allocation of resources.

The Anloga District Assembly urged the data collectors to carry out their duties diligently and engage business owners respectfully to ensure the success of the exercise. The Assembly expressed confidence that the initiative would contribute significantly to improving its internally generated funds and overall development planning.
