Volta Regional Coodinating Council Monitoring Team Assesses Anloga District Assembly’s 2024/2025 Performance

A Monitoring Team from the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, paid a working visit to the Anloga District Assembly to assess the Assembly’s performance and progress in implementing its development programmes and activities for the 2024 and 2025 operational years.

The monitoring exercise formed part of the VRCC’s routine mandate to evaluate the performance of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), ensuring compliance with national development policies while promoting accountability, transparency and effective service delivery across the region.

During the engagement, the Monitoring Team reviewed the Assembly’s achievements, ongoing projects, financial management, implementation of development plans, and challenges affecting service delivery. The exercise also provided an opportunity for technical discussions on strengthening institutional performance and improving outcomes for residents of the district.

Officials of the Anloga District Assembly highlighted key interventions undertaken over the assessment period, emphasizing the Assembly’s commitment to improving infrastructure, social services, and local economic development despite resource constraints.

The VRCC Monitoring Team commended the Assembly for its dedication to advancing development initiatives and encouraged management to sustain the momentum while addressing identified gaps. The team also offered recommendations aimed at enhancing planning, project execution, monitoring, and reporting to ensure the Assembly continues to deliver quality services to the people of Anloga.

The visit reaffirmed the Volta Regional Coordinating Council’s commitment to supporting District Assemblies through regular monitoring, technical guidance, and collaborative engagements that promote efficient local governance and accelerated development.
