Anloga District Assembly Holds Budget Commmittee Meeting

The Anloga District Assembly held its Budget Committee Meeting on Tuesday, 8th September 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen financial planning, budget implementation and effective resource management within the District.
The meeting brought together members of the Budget Committee and relevant officers of the Assembly to deliberate on key issues concerning the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Assembly’s budget.
Discussions focused on the Assembly’s revenue mobilisation efforts, expenditure priorities, ongoing development programmes and projects, as well as strategies to ensure that available resources are allocated efficiently to address the needs of communities within the District.
The Committee also reviewed various budgetary matters and considered measures aimed at improving the Assembly’s internally generated funds (IGF) and ensuring prudent financial management.
Members emphasised the importance of effective coordination among the various departments and units of the Assembly to achieve the objectives outlined in the budget. The meeting further provided an opportunity for members to identify challenges affecting budget implementation and propose practical measures to address them.
The deliberations underscored the Assembly’s commitment to accountability, transparency and responsible management of public resources while ensuring that development interventions are aligned with the needs and priorities of the people of the Anloga District.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment from members to work collectively towards effective implementation of the Assembly’s programmes and projects for the benefit of residents.
