Anloga District Assembly Constitutes Statutory Committees to Strengthen Local Governance

The Anloga District Assembly has successfully nominated members to its various statutory committees during a General Assembly Meeting held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. The exercise was chaired by the Presiding Member, Hon. Joseph Kpatah, and marked an important milestone in strengthening the Assembly’s governance and decision-making structures.

The nomination of members to the various committees was conducted in accordance with the Assembly’s Standing Orders and the provisions of Ghana’s local governance framework. The committees are expected to provide technical guidance, deliberate on sector-specific issues, and make recommendations that will support the Assembly in delivering efficient and responsive services to the people of the district.

Addressing members of the Assembly, Hon. Joseph Kpatah emphasized the importance of teamwork, commitment, and accountability in ensuring the success of the committees. He urged all nominees to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, fairness, and dedication to promote the development of the Anloga District.

The House unanimously endorsed the nominations, demonstrating a shared commitment among Assembly Members to foster collaboration and accelerate development initiatives across the district.

The constitution of the committees is expected to improve policy implementation, enhance oversight responsibilities, and facilitate informed decision-making on issues affecting the district. The Assembly expressed confidence that the newly constituted committees would work effectively to advance its development agenda and improve the well-being of residents.

The meeting concluded with a renewed call on all committee members to work together in the interest of the district and uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance.
