Assembly Inspects Site for New Staff Housing Project

The District Assembly has conducted a site inspection ahead of the construction of new staff housing units aimed at addressing accommodation challenges within the district.

The project comprises two blocks of eight-unit houses and two blocks of three-unit houses. According to officials, the contractor is expected to mobilise to the site and commence work in the coming days.

The housing initiative is part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to improve staff welfare and operational efficiency. Currently, many staff members reside outside the district due to the lack of suitable accommodation, a situation that affects their availability and productivity.

Upon completion, the new housing units are expected to significantly ease accommodation constraints, enhance staff presence within the district, and contribute to improved service delivery.
