Anloga District Assembly Observes National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.

The Anloga District Assembly joined the rest of the nation in observing the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, with a solemn and inspiring gathering held at the Forecourt of the Anloga District Assembly.
The event was organized under the national theme, “Resetting Our Values to Build the Ghana We Want,” which calls on Ghanaians to embrace integrity, discipline, unity, patriotism, and accountability as the foundation for national development. The 2026 theme builds on the government’s annual National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving initiative established to unite citizens in gratitude and prayer for the nation’s peace and progress.
The programme brought together the District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director, Heads of Departments and Units, Assembly Members, staff of the Assembly, religious leaders, traditional authorities, security personnel, and members of the public in a spirit of unity, reflection, and thanksgiving.
In prayers and exhortations, religious leaders expressed gratitude to Almighty God for His protection, guidance, and blessings upon Ghana and the Anloga District. They also prayed for peace, national cohesion, wisdom for the country’s leaders, economic recovery, and continued development at both the district and national levels.
Speaking at the event, Assembly officials emphasized the importance of living by the values of honesty, hard work, discipline, respect, and selfless service. They noted that national transformation begins with individual responsibility and encouraged citizens to demonstrate these values in their homes, workplaces, schools, and communities.
The observance served as a reminder that sustainable development is not only driven by infrastructure and economic policies but also by the moral character and collective commitment of citizens to building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
The Anloga District Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to promoting good governance, transparency, accountability, and inclusive development while working with all stakeholders to improve the well-being of residents.
The Assembly expressed appreciation to all participants, religious leaders, traditional authorities, and security agencies whose presence and support contributed to the successful observance of this year’s National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
